She was predeceased by: her spouse Harley F. McDonald; and her siblings, Glen Carver and Kathleen Dyer. She is survived by: her children, James McDonald (Linda) of Bixby, Jerry McDonald (Karen) of Carthage, Larry McDonald (Cathy) of Quapaw and Nancy Greathouse (Roy) of Sarcoxie, Missouri. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren.

The family has directed memorial contributions to the Sarcoxie Nursing Center, in care of the funeral home.
