He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Chandler; his grandson Nathan Carmichael; and his siblings, Quintis Carmichael, Frank Carmichael, Martha Osborn and Norma Jean Carmichael.
He is survived by: his son Charles Carmichael of Sarcoxie, Missouri; his grandchildren, Clint Carmichael (Trista) of Webb City and Julie Shelton (Mark) of San Marcos, California; his great grandchildren, Trevor, Tyler Shelton, Tyeshia, Ashlyn, Quinton, Ainsley, Sammi and Sydney Carmichael; and his sisters, Donna Carmichael and Anna Marie Canfield.
