She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Hassell and Audra Hassell (Duncan); her daughter Lana Stites; her brother Leon Hassell; and her sister-in-law Velma Hassell.
She is survived by: her husband Albert Gowen; her children, Sandra Parks (Dennis) of House Springs, MO and Alan Douglas Gowen (Kali) of Dittmer, MO; her grandsons, Donald Mraz (Kate), Alexander Gowen (Cheyenne) and Zachary Gowen (Jackie); her great grandchild Samuel Alexander Gowen; and her stepgrandsons, Brian and Michael Parks. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
