He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond "Fat" Bowen and Elsie Bowen (Medley); his sons, Allen and Earnie Bowen; and his siblings, Dwight, Bud Bowen, Loretta Lanham, Rae Jean Thompson and Shirley Bowen.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Alice; his children, Ray "Hoot" Bowen of Park Hills, Eric Bowen of Hillsboro and Elaine Parks (Todd) of Salem; his brother Richard "Dick" Bowen of Salem; his grandchildren, Nikki Eaton, Madison Bates, Mackenzie Bowen and R. W. Welch; and his great grandchildren, Landon, Jaiden, Kasen, Sofia, Cactus, Saylor and Kingston. He is also survived by his family and friends.
