George Farrand Timson Obituary
We bid farewell to George Farrand Timson (Salem, Missouri), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 3, 2025 at the age of 97. George Farrand touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin F. Timson and Laura Elsie Timson (Farrand); his wife Carol Hill; his sister Janice Loe; his siblings-in-law, Lexie Schoen (Hill), Winston Loe and Nicolaas Schoen; and his grandson Glenn Clark Timson.
He is survived by: his children, Benjamin (Kathy Timson), Glenn (Jane Timson), Lexie (George Long), George (Pamela Timson), Laura (Kirk Gimmy) and Jonathan (Cindy Timson). He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, two nieces, and two nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the James & Gahr Mortuary - Salem (103 W Center St, Salem, MO 65560). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (602 W Butler St, Salem, MO 65560-2054).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Food for the Poor, one of George's favorite charities.
