It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine B. (Chitwood) Burns (Salem, Missouri), who passed away on December 16, 2022, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ottis Chitwood and Dessie Chitwood (Bailey); her son William Burns; and her siblings, Loren, Dorothy and Anna Mae.
She is survived by: her children, April Martin (Charles) of Salem, MO, Amber Brawley of Salem, MO, Chris Farris of Salem, MO, Alfred Burns of Salem, MO, Ashley Leonard (Kenny) of Salem, MO and Heather Blaylock of Salem, MO; her sisters, Sherry Vest (Leroy), Nadine Masterson, Maude Stevens and Nancy Chitwood; and her grandchildren, Tray, Paige, Brooke, Christopher, Chad, Levi, Lilly, Jessie, Malakia, Daemon, Jasper, Ila, Gaige and Dmitri. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
