He was predeceased by: his parent Frances Moore; his children, Albert Downey, Jr. and Jeanette Downey; his siblings, Beryl Downey and Thelma Washburn; and his stepsister Colleen DeClue.

He is survived by: his children, Jenniffer Allman of Hermann, MO and John Downey of Jonesburg, MO; his siblings, Eddie Ray Staggs, Larry Moore, Mark Moore, Paul Moore (Candace), Timmy Moore and Selma Head; and his stepsisters, Sally Musgrave and Josephine Easton. He is also survived by three grandchildren, two great-granddaughters, nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
