He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Otto Kern and Ella Emma Kern (Summann); his sons, Raymond Edwin Kern, Jr. and Jonathan Richard Kern; his siblings, Norman Kern (Vernie), Fern Thiemann (Harold), Marie Beck (Lee) and Laura Reimann (Gary); and his brother-in-law David Freeman.
He is survived by: his wife Margie Kern (Bodine) of Farmington, MO; his daughters, Marcia DeMarco of Sainte Genevieve, MO and Elizabeth "Libby" Luffy (Duane) of Sainte Genevieve, MO; his grandchildren, River Fuller, Lee Kern (Derrick), Emily Cinciripini and Abigail Kern; his great grandchildren, Katelyn Fuller, Logan Fuller, Dylan Schadegg (Mallori), Celia Cinciripini, Silas Cinciripini, Amadea Zielinski and Robin Zielinski; and his sister Mildred Freeman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church (200 Market St, Ste. Genevieve, MO 63670). A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery - Sainte Genevieve (200 Market St, Ste. Genevieve, MO 63670).
Burial will follow at Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery in Sainte Genevieve, MO, Memorials can be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church or Trinity Lutheran Church.
