He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sydik and Ann Sydik (McCain) of Festus; and his grandparents, Gilbert Ernest, Zora McCain (Brown) of Barnhart, John and Helena Sydik of Festus.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Emily Layton of Ste. Genevieve; his sister Linda Bachmann (Ron) of Nashville; his nephew Dr. Justin Bachmann (Katherine); his great-niece Caroline; and his great-nephew Gregory of Nashville. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
