With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jay Whaley (Sainte Genevieve, Missouri), born in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 25, 2025 at the age of 60. He was predeceased by: his parents, Derald L Whaley and Nancy K. Kemper (Erdman). He is survived by: his wife Melissa Whaley of Sainte Genevieve, MO; his children, Sarah Whaley of Sainte Genevieve, MO, Stephanie Wolfin (Matthew) of Saint Mary, MO, Amy Whaley of Brewer, MO, Amanda Whaley of Crystal City, MO, Courtney Lankford of Sainte Genevieve, MO and Joseph Whaley of Sainte Genevieve, MO; his stepchildren, Cassandra Daugette (Joshua) of Saint Louis, MO and Joshua Coffey (Claire) of Saint Louis, MO; and his siblings, Kathy Luther (David) of Valley Park, MO, Kim Gettinger (Duane "Tater") of Sainte Genevieve, MO and Jeff Whaley of Sainte Genevieve, MO. He is also survived by 17 Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Basler Funeral Home (685 Center Dr, Ste. Genevieve, MO 63670). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
