He was predeceased by: his wife Betty E. Donovan; his daughter Janet M. Meyer; his parents, James W. Donovan and Preshey N. Donovan (Arnette); and his brother Joe Donovan.
He is survived by: his children, Carol Bollinger (Edwin) of Sainte Genevieve, MO, Robert Donovan (Colleen) of Sainte Genevieve, MO and Richard Donovan (Sandra) of Sainte Genevieve, MO; his son-in-law Felix Meyer of Sainte Genevieve, MO; and his grandchildren, Eric, Dean, Roxanne, Casey, Renee, Brian, Kimberly, Justin and Sheila. He is also survived by 25 Great Grandchildren; Several Great Great Grandchildren.
