Martha Elizabeth Strope Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Martha Elizabeth Strope of Saint Thomas, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 20, 2025 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Bax and Rosa Bax (Massman); her spouse Urban "Urb" Anthony Strope; her daughter Jacqueline "Jackie" Gibler; and her siblings, Henry Bax, Ilde Bax, Eleanor Schmeig and Rose Mary Buschjost.
She is survived by: her children, Dan Strope (Jeanne), Larry Strope (Kathy), Stan Strope (Camille), Eric Strope (Debbie), Elaine Strope (James Conti), Sharon Early, Doris Strope and Brenda Kelley (Pete); and her sister-in-law Gini Heckman. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Thomas Knights of Columbus Hall (15215 State Hwy B, St Thomas, MO 65076). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church (14814 State Hwy B, St Thomas, MO 65076).
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic School.
