He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl W. Bethel and Ruth E Bethel (Bone); his siblings, Peggy Smith (Robert), Constance Asberry (Gene), Ronald Bethel, Robert Bethel, Charles Bethel and Deborah Applewhite; and his nephews, Michael Asberry and Robert Bethel Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Marsha Kay Bethel (Schatz); his children, Rodney Bethel (Kristina) of Florissant, MO, Eric Bethel (Rebecca) of O'Fallon, MO and Michelle Myatt (Jason) of Granite City, IL.; his grandchildren, Zachary Bethel (Amanda), Kaitlin Field (Doug), McKenna Myatt, Kyla Bethel, Delaney Myatt, Gweneth Bethel, Reagan Myatt, Grace Myatt and Jackson Myatt; and his great grandchildren, Raelyn Bethel, Ryleigh Bethel, Chase Field and Spencer Field.
