He was predeceased by: his parents, Opal Adams and James Adams Sr.; and his siblings, James Adams, Samuel Adams and Wilma Kennedy.
He is survived by: his wife Lettie Adams; his children, Gregory L. Adams, Glenn R. Adams, Kenneth W. Adams and Janice M. Egans; and his sisters-in-law, Constance Adams and Cleo Adams. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.
