He was predeceased by: his spouse Shirley Ann Bohnert; his parents, Joseph Bohnert and Wilma Bohnert; and his sister Stella Moll (late Tom). He is survived by: his daughters, Brenda M. Sanders (Randy), Kimberly A. Kolkmeier (Wally) and Bonnie M. Brown (Jerry); his grandchildren, Chad Sanders (Kaysha), Benjamin Sanders (Annie), Dusty Sanders (Chelle), Wally Kolkmeier (Alison), Wendy Tucker (Corey), Gary Frick (Kara), Adam Frick (Bria), Jamie Aslin, Ashley Schroeder (Luke), Justin Brown (Hannah), Jesse Brown and Mandy Sanders; and his siblings, Norma Balsman (late Herman), Linda Lopez (Mike) and David Bohnert (Rosella).
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Baue Funeral Home - St Charles (620 Jefferson St, St Charles, MO 63301). A Mass will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (1355 Motherhead Rd, Cottleville, MO 63304). A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 2:30 PM at the St. Charles Memorial Gardens (3950 W Clay St, St Charles, MO 63301).
Memorials may be made in Joseph's name to St. Joseph Catholic Church of Cottleville the Quilting Association in honor of Shirley and Joseph Bohnert.
