She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Wilbert "Whip" Peters and Mabel Peters; her children, Michele D. Tillotson (Terry) and Amy L. Barnhart (Nathan); her grandchildren, Taylor Ritchey, Abigail Dirden (Justin), Alexander Tillotson, Emilee Wolford, Camille Tillotson and Courtney Wolford; her stepgrandchildren, Avery Barnhart and Peyton Barnhart; her great grandchildren, Easton, Maverick, Kinleigh, Hallie and Colton; and her siblings, Ruth Thury (Linus) and Kevin Peters (Lynn).
Memorials may be made in Janis's name to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
