He was predeceased by: his parents, John Charles Dowdall and Dorothy Marie Dowdall. He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Dowdall; his daughter Suzanne Miller (Victor Schone); his grandchildren, Christian Miller, Katelyn Miller and Alexis Schone; his great grandchildren, Lauren Wagner (Melissa Wagner), Jameson Bergesch and Azariah Miller; his brothers, Timothy Dowdall and David Dowdall; his siblings-in-law, Dolores Murphy (John), Mary Simpson (Jim), Gail Bax and Gerard Bax; his grandson Colton Schone; and also, Oliver Wagner, Felix Wagner and Nora Wagner.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (837 Mid Rivers Mall Dr, St Peters, MO 63376). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery (2900 Sheridan Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125).
