With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Veronica Bernadette Whalum of Saint Louis, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 21, 2024 at the age of 96. As Veronica Bernadette departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Veronica Bernadette. Though Veronica Bernadette may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ada Rose Harris and John Freeland. She is survived by: her siblings, Francis "Frank" B. Freeland and Rosemarie Freeland; and her children, Connie, Angela, Tony, Marybeth and Stephanie. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at 4330 Shreve Ave, St. Louis, MO 63115. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
