He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Tockman Yawitz; his granddaughter Adelaide Wilder; his parents, Nathan Yawitz and Minnie Yawitz; and his sister Sarah Kaplan (Sam).
He is survived by: his children, Linda Baum (Elliott) and Michael Yawitz (Barbara); his grandchildren, Todd Baum (Jaime), Craig Baum (Robyn), Cara Wilder and Emily Wilder (Frank McBrearty); his great grandchildren, Ryan Baum, Maria Baum, Zachary Baum, Nathan Baum, Charlie Work, Simon Work, Ana Wilder and Silas Wilder; his siblings, Alice Wasserman, Ann Offstein (Joe), Adolph Yawitz (Leah), Isadore Yawitz (Theresa), Dorothy Yawitz, Leah Yawitz, Stanley Yawitz (Helen) and Jeannette Wides (Ed); and his sister-in-law Ruth Tockman.
