He was predeceased by: his wife Maxine Rubin (Kessler); his stepgrandson Lucas Shanker; and his sibling Sareva Muchnick (Frank). He is survived by: his children, Allison Shanker (Mike) and Mickey Rubin (Kristi); his grandchildren, Sydney and Jordyn Rubin; his stepgrandchildren, Eva and Jackson; his sister Susan Boxerman (late Larry); and his nephews, Steven A. Muchnick (Barbara), Bill Muchnick (Darcy), Marc Boxerman (Ruth Sosniak) and Michael Boxerman (Susie Evans).
