He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Church; his wife Alice Haefer; his children, Mary Beth Smegner (Tom), Diane Hardy (Brian), Lucie Flynn (Terry), Richard Haefer III and Joseph Haefer (Linda); his foster brother Dr. Kurt Engleitner (Heidi); and his grandchildren, Abigail, Zachary, Michael, Madison, Alexandra, Blake, Lauren (Eric), Connor, Jack, Parker, Mia, Vincent and Alexis.
