He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Jesse Conaway and Lena Hazel Martin Conaway; his siblings, Luther Conaway (Emily), Lawrence Conaway, Noel Conaway (Velma), Irvin Conaway, Jr. and Geneva Green (Clyde); and his brother-in-law Leo Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred Conaway of Cuba, MO; his children, Paula Dean Conaway of Orange County, CA, Michael Nathan Conaway of Steelville, MO, Kimberly Rose White of St. Louis, MO, Steven Mitchell Conaway (Kelli) of Pacific, MO and Jason Paul Conaway (Kate) of Fenton, MO; his grandchildren, Melissa Fifer (Steve), Kristopher Conaway (Carrie), Samantha Bell (Bradley), Jessica Cortez (Ian), Brittany Oberndorfer (Brandon), Ashley Broderick (Brian Warner), Jacob Broderick (Kirstie), Hank Conaway (Brea), Isaac Conaway, Maggie Conaway and Johnathan Conaway; his great grandchildren, Brett, Lillie, Adalynn, Hudson, Samantha, Jaxon and Rosalie; his sister Lorraine Brown of Owensville, MO; and his sisters-in-law, Mildred Conaway of Steelville, MO and Mary Conaway of Cherryville, MO. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 28th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home (110 Cedar St, Steelville, MO 65565). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at the Freeman Cemetery (73 Freeman Cemetery Rd, Cherryville, MO 65446).
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
