Mona Abel Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mona Abel of Saint Louis, Missouri, born in Hibbing, Minnesota, who passed away on July 23, 2021 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Meittunen and Myra Meittunen; her brother-in-law Dr. Ron Sundquist (Patti); and her brother Keith. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Raymond Abel Jr. DC; her children, Mona, Ray, Dr. Scott Abel (Sarah Abel) and Melanie Schomber; her grandsons, Schomber, Gunnar Abel, Cedric Abel, Dieter Abel and Sigurd Abel; and her siblings, Carole Borovac (Mike), Roger Meittunen (Ruth), Patti Sundquist (Ronald), Mark Meittunen (Tammy) and Todd Meittunen. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
