She was predeceased by: her parents, Tyler Grooms and Bernice Grooms; her husband Dillon Smith; her daughter Kathy; and her siblings, Arlynn Jones (Norma Jean) and Freda Smith (George).
She is survived by: her sons, Steve Smith (Kathy), Gary Smith and John Smith; her siblings, Norman Grooms, Alva Jones (Sandy) and Reba Jones; her grandchildren, Melanie Nukala (Vamsi) and Jerod Smith; her great grandchildren, Kiran and Kethan; and her close friends, Chris, Tiny and Betty.
