She was predeceased by: her parents, Vito Sapienza and Nancy Sapienza. She is survived by: her husband John Ruehl; her children, Cheryl Ruehl and Steve Ruehl; her siblings, Vic Sapienza and Jackie Rowark; and her grandchildren, Tony Ruehl, Matt Ruehl and Kelsey Cross.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Homes - South City Chapel (7027 Gravois Ave, St. Louis, MO 63116). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 1:15 PM to 1:30 PM at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery (2900 Sheridan Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125).
