He was predeceased by: his mother Phyllis Ax (Hoffman); his grandparents, Robert, Marianne Ax (Giardina), Herbert and Pauline Hoffman (Ogle); his uncle Robert Ax Jr.; and his cousin Errin Ax.
He is survived by: his father Daniel Henry Ax; his wife Sarah Ax (Johnson); his stepdaughter Emily Johnson of St. Louis, MO; his stepmother Marlene Barni of St. Louis, MO.; his sisters, Andrea Ax (Garrett) of Edwardsville, IL and Ellen Godfrey (Ax) of Godfrey, IL; his stepbrother Grant Clark; and his niece Brooke Godfrey.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 24th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Weber & Rodney Funeral Home (304 N Main St, Edwardsville, IL 62025). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 24th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Family suggests memorials to Illinois School for the Deaf in Jacksonville, IL, St. Jude Children's Hospital or Stray Rescue in St. Louis.
