With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Leslie Charles Schaefer (Saint Louis, Missouri), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 3, 2025 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Schaefer and Myrtle M. Schaefer; his grandson Matthew Schaefer; and his siblings, John Schaefer, Terry Schaefer, Karen Martin and Betty Wright.
He is survived by: his wife Nora Schaefer; his children, Debra Storr (Rob), Robert "Bob" Schaefer (Diane) and William Schaefer (late Angela); his grandchildren, Mark J. Barthelmass, Meaghan Ostendorf (Bryan), Derek Storr (Chelsea), Brad Storr (Allison), Nikki Storr, Katelyn Seibert (Austin), Ryan Schaefer (Paige), Jacob Schaefer (Alexis), Scott Schaefer, Sarah BoisClaire (Spencer) and Zac Schaefer; his great grandchildren, Viola, Jackson, Lincoln, Charlotte, Binni, Victoria, Cooper, Colton J., Virginia, Colton R. and Sophie; and his siblings, Jerry Schaefer (Sharron) and Bill Schaefer.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Homes - South County Chapel (4830 Lemay Ferry Rd, St. Louis, MO 63129). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Mt. Hope Cemetery (1215 Lemay Ferry Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125).
