It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leona Mae Szymanski (Saint Louis, Missouri), who passed away on February 10, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Michael V. Szymanski; her parents, Willie Smith and Elma Smith; and her brother Earl Laverne Smith. She is survived by: her children, David Szymanski and Donna Hicks (Glenn); and her siblings, Edgar Ray Smith (Shirley), Erma Nash (late Earl) and Denise Lamer. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Shepard Funeral Chapel (9255 Natural Bridge Rd, St. Louis, MO 63134). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
