The world bids farewell to Katherine R. Smith of Saint Louis, Missouri, departing on March 26, 2025 at the age of 78. Katherine leaves behind memories cherished by the community. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father William Rhodes; her sisters, Dorothy Rhodes and Delores Vincent (James Vincent); and her mother Blanche Croy Rhodes. She is survived by: her husband James A. Smith, Jr.; her sisters, Carol Rhodes Whisler-Falkenbury (Michael Falkenbury) and Sharon Sifford (Raleigh Gene Sifford, Jr.); her family, Katie and Kathy; and her granddaughter Lillian Grace Connelly. She is also survived by grandchildren, she was simply Grandma.
In lieu of flowers, the family has established a private music instruction scholarship fund honoring the memory of Katherine, and donations may be directed to the Darlington School, 1014 Cave Spring Rd SW, Rome, GA 30161.
