We are sad to announce that on October 16, 2018, at the age of 87, Julia Kern (Saint Louis, Missouri) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Stephen Somogye; and her sibling Stephen. She is survived by: her spouse Donald R. Kern; her parent Helen Somogye; her children, Richard Kern, Lawrence Kern (Helene), Nancy Farmer (Richard) and Karen Kern; her grandchildren, Lindsey, Laurie Holtmann (Andrew), Leisa, Stephen, David, Julia, Abigail, Josiah, Arianna, Jeremiah, Rebekah and Zachariah; her great grandchildren, Barrett Holtmann and Bailey Holtmann; and her siblings, Ann, Louise, Mary, Joseph, Michael, Helen, Irene and Albert.
In the lieu of the flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Julia D. Kern Endowed Alzheimer's Research Fund at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis or to the Alzheimer's Association.
