He was predeceased by: his wife Eleanor P. Simpson; his son Michael P. Simpson; his nephews, Ronald J. Temple, Jr. of Karyn Temple, J. D., Randall of Lola, J. D. and Noah; his niece Lillian Perlmutter; and his parents, Geraldine Rogers Simpson and Joseph Simpson.
He is survived by: his sons, Dr. Joseph R. Simpson, Jr. (Monica) of Reno and Allan Kenneth Simpson (Tiffany); his grandchildren, Aidan, Brooke, Caroline, Elizabeth and Catherine Simpson; his siblings-in-law, Dr. Roger Perlmutter (Joan) and Rosanne Garrett (late Karl); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Lauren Michelle Claggett, Abisola and Dara Temple; his cousins, John W. Rogers, Jr. and Victoria Rogers; his sister Juanita Temple; his grandson Michael Paul Simpson; and his great grandchild Allan Kenneth Simpson.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Beth Hamedrosh Hagodol Cemetery (9125 Ladue Rd, St. Louis, MO 63124).
