He was predeceased by: his children, Joseph "Sonny" John Michalka III (Belinda), John Michalka (Cindy Lou), Martin Michalka and MaryAnn Zamora (Gary); his grandchildren, Jason Michalka, Nicole Michalka (John Kruger), Anthony Michalka (Angela), Amy Moss and Marty Moss; his great grandchildren, Jason Jay "JJ" Michalka Jr., Jaden Michalka, Tristan Michalka, Calie Michalka, MacKenzie Michalka, Anthony Nicolo Grillo, Jr. and Desiree Josie Grillo; his sisters, Rita Michalka and Julia "Cookie" Michalka; and his parents, Joseph John Michalka Sr. and Mildred "Helen" Michalka (Nee Melberg).
He is survived by: his pet Petey.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Jesus Catholic Church (10235 Ashbrook Dr, St. Louis, MO 63137). A Mass was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at the Calvary Cemetery (5239 W Florissant Ave, St. Louis, MO 63115).
