He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Church; his wife Mary Sander; his children, Elizabeth Bresnahan (Ben), Thomas Sander (Christina), Christine Garcia-Ferrer (Eduardo), Joseph Sander (Marie) and John Sander (Susan Honich); and his sister Theresa Swederske. He was also cherished by 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
