He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles James and Dora Darlene Dixon Smith. He is survived by: his daughter Cheryl Smith of Orting, Washington; and his siblings, Danny Smith of Cape Girardeau, David Smith of Sikeston, Missouri, Joann Houck, Ann Lenard of Benton, Kathleen Woolridge of Jonesboro and Sharon Raines of Scott City.
