It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Joseph Jost Jr. of Saint Louis, Missouri, born in Bennettsville, South Carolina, who passed away on February 24, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Jack" Joseph, Sr. and Edna Polson Jost. He is survived by: his children, Mike Jost of Sanford, NC, Joshua Jost of Cheraw, SC, Landon Jost of Kershaw, SC and Kallie Jost (Andrew) of Davenport, IA; his siblings, Larry Jost of Blenheim, SC and Dawn Griggs (Larry) of Clio, SC; his niece Tracy Jost of Greenville, SC; his nephews, Adam Carabo (Chelsea) of Blenheim, SC, Ben Carabo (Mallory) of Florence, SC, Sam Carabo (Hailey) of Bennettsville, SC and Chris Riddle of Blenheim, SC; and his caregiver Renee Jost of Kershaw, SC. He is also survived by several cousins and other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dawn Griggs Residence (3110 Little Man Ln, Clio, SC 29525).
John made a selfless decision to donate his body to science.
