He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecilio Valdez and Natividad Valdez (Ruiz). He is survived by: his wife Susan Hubbard; his children, Cecil Valdez, Jesse Valdez, Jr., Rebecca Valdez and Tiffany Vilvan; and his stepchildren, Thomas Charest, Danny Charest and Joyce Charest. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
