She was predeceased by: her parents, Olie Muriel Phillips and Helen Frances; her sister Iris Kendall; her husband Sam William Risk; and her son Gary Wallen.
She is survived by: her daughters, Vickie Birkenmeier (Rich) and Toni Wallen (Carol); her grandsons, Brent Birkenmeier and Blake Birkenmeier; and her great grandchildren, Kaiah Birkenmeier and Bowie Birkenmeier. She is also survived by her partner in life, but also her soulmate and the love of her life.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated by Missouri School for the Blind, in honor of her late son, Gary.
