It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jan Thompson (Saint Louis, Missouri), who passed away on April 11, 2020, at the age of 50, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Thompson and Mary Thompson (Shoopman); her pets, Madison O'Keefe and Carson O'Malley; her stepfather James "Bruiser" Knous; and her brother Jeffery Thompson.
She is survived by: her siblings, Candy Ackman (Jon) of Rushville, Scott Thompson (Ruth) of Des Moines and Mark Thompson (Lori) of Augusta; her stepbrother Doug Knous (Jill) of Lawrenceville; her nieces and nephews, Jeff Ackman (Amy), Jason Ackman (Christy), Joe Ackman (Kelly), Alex Thompson (Megan), Hedy Ackman, Shelby Bowles (Ben), Ashleigh Campbell (Zeb) and Abbie Thompson; and her aunts and uncles, Pat Parker of Mt Sterling, Betty Parker of Clayton, Jerry Shoopman (Lila) of Mt. Sterling and Louis "Butch" Shoopman (Mary) of Springfield. She is also survived by several great nephews, great nieces and cousins.
She was an active supporter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, specifically the Gateway Chapter of St Louis, as well as Mid America Transplant Services and an advocate for organ donation.
