He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard W. Sr. Steen and Leona Steen (McDowell); and his brothers, Bobby Gene and Ronald Leroy Steen. He is survived by: his wife Rosa Violet Steen (Jones); and his sons, Howard W. 3rd, James E. (Stacy) and Jeffrey D (Nancy). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
