He was predeceased by: his parents, Heip Van and Hoa Kim Trinh; his sister Thuy Kim Trinh; and his sister-in-law Phuong Trinh. He is survived by: his wife Thanh Trinh; his sons, Henry and Nami Trinh; and his brothers, Hung Van Trinh (Patricia), Ngoc Van Trinh (Hang), Sang Van Trinh (Lylan), Giau Van Trinh (Thanh) and Tot Van Trinh. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
