Gertie Modena Vancil Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertie Modena Vancil (Saint Louis, Missouri), who passed away on December 25, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Tom Breedlove; her husband Billie R. Vancil; her daughters, Sharon Coleman and Tammy Pappas; and her granddaughter Sabrina Coleman.
She is survived by: her mother Laura Breedlove; her children, Deborrah Kemple, Judy Myers, Paula Wells and Timothy Vancil; and her brother Fred Breedlove. She is also survived by her two sisters and four brothers.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Homes - South City Chapel (7027 Gravois Ave, St. Louis, MO 63116). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Homes South City (7027 Gravois Ave, St. Louis, MO 63116).
