She was predeceased by: her husband Leonard E. Abeln; and her parents, Carl Francis and Catherine Marie Schinsky. She is survived by: her children, Maureen Pickett (Roger), Pat Wymore (Steve) and Janet Jacobs (David); her grandchildren, Nicholas Wymore (Maggie), Noel Powers (Brent), Brian Pickett (Kelly), Ashley Pickett (Evan Prokos), Kaitlyn Richardson (Jared) and Jordan Parker (Luke); her great grandchildren, Amelia, Sydney, Brayden, Brynlee, Graham, Quinn, Blayke, Cora, Kendall and Nolan; and her siblings, Thomas Schinsky (Deanna), Lawrence Schinsky (late Janet), Carl Schinsky (Janice) and Jackie Spellmeyer (Jim).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John L. Ziegenhein and Sons Funeral Homes - South County Chapel (4830 Lemay Ferry Rd, St. Louis, MO 63129). A prayer will be held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 9:15 AM to 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Catholic Church (4900 Ringer Rd, St. Louis, MO 63129). A burial will be held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM at the National Cemetery (2900 Sheridan Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125).
