He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Janet Hertel; his children, Steven Hertel, Elissa Sorby (late William), Amy McGuckin (Shawn), Joshua Hertel (Anna), Sarah Moehlenhoff (George) and Matthew Hertel (Angela); and his grandchildren, Christopher, Alexandra Sorby, Shane, Austin McGuckin, Reese, Dallas, Ross Hertel, Samantha, George Moehlenhoff and Adriana Hertel.
