He was predeceased by: his parents, George Schuering and Florence Schuering (Hoffman); his wife Carolyn Ann Schuering (Belker) of Quincy's St; his daughter Laura Henke; his daughter-in-law Becky Schuering; his in-laws, Jerome and Helen Belker (Boehl); and his siblings, Don Schuering (Carol) and Maxine Swain (Robert).
He is survived by: his sons, Mike Schuering of Blue Springs, MO, Jim Schuering (Karen) of St. Louis, MO and Dave Schuering (Lisa) of St. Louis, MO.; his grandchildren, Jessica Elwell (Drew), Maggie Henke, Steven Schuering (MaKayla), Kelly Schuering (Ravi Kommajosyula), Lyndsay Schuering (Victor Recalde), Kathryn Schuering, Alex Schuering (Tessa Smith), Annie Schuering, Will Schuering and Nate Schuering; his great grandchildren, Quinn Elwell, Reid Elwell, Mason Ridenhour and Hagen Schuering; his sister Madelyn O'Brien of Edina, MO; and his sister-in-law Sandy Happ (Mike) of Columbia, MO. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home (823 Broadway St, Quincy, IL 62301). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Church of St. Peter Officiated (2600 Maine St, Quincy, IL 62301).
