Dorothy Caroline Hemenway Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Caroline Hemenway formerly of Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on January 19, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Walter Young and Bertha Young; her spouse W. D. Hemenway III; her stepchildren, W. D. Hemenway IV (Amie), Christie Hemenway (Allen Scott), Sarah Hemenway (Sallie) and Susan Hemenway (Suzy); her granddaughter Mimi Elizabeth; her grandson-in-law Berry Benedick; and her close friend Tim McCann.
Dottie, as her friends called her, was also a member of a high school girls' sorority (Beta Alpha Beta -BAB) whose members, but for the pandemic, would still be meeting for lunch monthly to this day.
