He is survived by: his children, Karen Nelson (late Dave), Mark Schaeffer (Theresa) and Joseph Schaeffer; and his grandchildren, Ted Reyland (Christie), Kimberly Christian (Robert), Shaun McBride (Brandy), Brian McBride (Alexandria), Mark Schaeffer (Chi), Danielle Kontny (Anthony), Kristen Johnson (Zac), Joie Ann Cutler and Jessica Lacroix Beatty.
