She was predeceased by: her grandchild Taylor Bullard (Jennifer). She is survived by: her former husband Philip Yohe; her children, Nancy, Bill, Tim and Linda; her husband Fred Brown; her stepsons, Denny and Doug Brown; her granddaughter Virginia; her daughter Cindy Jenkins (Bruce); her grandchildren, Nicole Roloff (Josh) and Ryan Jenkins (Katie); her great grandchildren, Oliver, Nola, Anson, Charlie and June; her grandchildren, Justin "Jake" Arndt (Dana), Whitney Zavaglia (Mark), Nathan Arndt (Courtney), Barrett, Andrew, Austin, Jacob, Brook, Beckett, Beritt, Evalee, Leora, Andy Yohe (Katie), Tony Yohe and Kyle Yohe (Rachael); her great grandchildren, Abby and Levi; her grandchildren, Jamie Huisman (Cody), Jolie Hand (Garrett) and Tanner Bullard; her great grandchildren, Harris, Harper, Henson and Nora; her son Larry Brown (Sandy); her grandchildren, Peter Brown, Ann Brown (Rex), Candy Brown (Tony), Tammy Brown, Richard Brown, Nicolas Brown (Jeaneen), Michael Brown (Sara) and Christopher Brown (Katlyn); her great grandchildren, Boone, Quinn, Ivoriee, Hendricks and Nellie; her grandchildren, Chad Brown (Lori) and Bethany (Shay); her great grandchildren, Ethan, Zephyr and Zion; and her sister Kathryn "Kate" Lauderback. She is also survived by many friends.

She persevered through the Great Depression, World WarII, smallpox, polio... and a pandemic. As she navigated the maze of dementia and the separation from family and friends by pandemic restrictions, her strength of character held in her determination to "make the best of it".

Although not necessary, in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Betty Ruth Brown may be made in her honor to First Presbyterian Church of Wapello 127 N. Main St. Wapello, IA 52653 (In memo, direct donation to Betty R. Brown Fund).
