She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank W. Atkinson and Evelyn A. Atkinson (O'Callaghan); her brother Franklin Atkinson, Jr.; and her sister-in-law Rosie Atkinson. She is survived by: her spouse Jesse Barbosa of Patrick's Church; her son Patrick Barbosa (Beth); her grandchildren, Mason Barbosa (Erandy), Jude Barbosa and Melena Barbosa; and her brother Bill Atkinson (Ramona).
A rosary will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 5:30 PM at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel (3609 Frederick Ave, St Joseph, MO 64506). Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph (519 N 10th St, St Joseph, MO 64501). A burial will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mount Olivet Cemetery (2600 Lovers Ln, St Joseph, MO 64506).
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Cathedral of Saint Joseph.
