He was predeceased by: his parents, Loddie Spiek and Helen Spiek (Fogarty); and his sons, Jeremy and Jeffrey Spiek. He is survived by: his siblings, Richard Spiek (Dana), Patricia Brady (Barry) and Connie Fleckal (Roger). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
