He was predeceased by: his sister Jonna Rehm; and his friend Jessie Edwards. He is survived by: his parents, Thomas D. Sontheimer and Cathy L. Sontheimer (Carrel); his daughter Danyka Sontheimer; his sister Tracy Frye; and his close friend Nate Barron (Amy). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family.
